01What you will learn
7 capabilities, stated as things you can do
Each one is what you should be able to do at the end, not what the course covers. If an outcome is not testable, it is not an outcome.
- Choose a sandbox type by what you need to test, and know what data each one carries.
- Move a change to production by change set, and say where change sets stop being enough.
- Read a deployment error and fix the cause rather than removing the component.
- Keep metadata in source control, and explain what version control buys an admin.
- Write a deployment plan with a rollback step that someone else could execute.
- Name the four things that do not deploy and must be set by hand after every release.
- Run a release under a change freeze without blocking urgent fixes.

6 modules, 34 lessons
Every lesson shows its length and its type. A SCORM lesson looks like any other lesson, which is the point of ingesting packages rather than linking out to them.

Four types, four refresh intervals, four data stories. Picking wrong costs you either fidelity or a 29-day wait.

Change sets, unmanaged packages and the metadata API. Plus the components that silently do not travel.

Named credential passwords, remote site secrets, some picklist value sets and record ownership. Each is a post-deploy step in your plan.
- VideoThe four things that never deployNamed credential passwords, remote site secrets, some picklist value sets and record ownership. Each one is a post-deploy step in your plan.6 min

- VideoRecord ownership and picklist value sets: the other two that do not travel7 min
- LabLab: write the post-deploy checklist for a release with two of the four6 min
A concurrent deploy silently stripped a tab from the live app six minutes after ours shipped. Coordination is a release control, not a courtesy.
