01What you will learn

8 capabilities, stated as things you can do

Each one is what you should be able to do at the end, not what the course covers. If an outcome is not testable, it is not an outcome.

  1. Build a component with the correct lifecycle hooks, and know why connectedCallback is not componentDidMount.
  2. Choose between a wire adapter, an imperative Apex call and the UI API for a given data need.
  3. Compose parent and child components, and pass data down and events up without a global bus.
  4. Handle errors so a failed callout shows the user something true.
  5. Make a component work on a phone, verified on a real device rather than in a resized window.
  6. Meet accessibility requirements: focus order, labels, and keyboard operation.
  7. Deploy a component to a record page, an app page and a Flow screen from one source.
  8. Debug a component from the browser, including a wire that never fires.

Every lesson shows its length and its type. A SCORM lesson looks like any other lesson, which is the point of ingesting packages rather than linking out to them.
